Overall, the Project is showing how digital tools can deepen our understanding of Hip-Hop as culture. By going through and analyzing Jay Z and his work using, text mining, visualization, and mapping, the projects aim to find what patterns, similes, words that he chose to use in his songs, and why he did so.
“In #TheJayZMixtape … Rambsy uses computational approaches to explore Jay-Z’s musical influences and allusions to other black artists and historical figures.” This quote shows that Rambsy uses digital tools to analyze his music and how he gets great inspiration from fellow artists and figures.

“It is true that many people place Jay-Z among a cohort of legendary lyricists and moguls. But I have found that my students, educators, and even rap fans who push for the genre to have widespread acceptance may still wonder what makes Jay-Z worthy of focused attention in a digital humanities literature course.” This quote encourages people to view rap more as an art and a culture and less as a single form of amusement. There is such a deeper meaning to each lyric that is produced. A majority of people just view music as entertainment but don’t get the much deeper picture.
