Goal
This project will create an online server hosted by the university, providing each department and its respective classes with chat rooms for students to discuss and connect over content. Not necessarily for West Chester specifically, but services like libraries/quiet rooms, office hours, tutoring sessions, and other support systems may be closed/unavailable at non-traditional hours. The idea of a fully online server could provide a 24/7 epicenter of students to support each other through all-nighter exam cramming that many college students are guilty of.
Audience
This project would benefit the parties of students who have unfortunate circumstances, such as not being available during office hours, or feeling out of luck before strict deadlines. An online server like this could be the life ring/life jacket to students who need help from 12 am – 12 pm. Server invitations for specific classes should be held on the first day of class; therefore, the large crowds during syllabus week can all join the server if they please.
