This project aims to create an online server, divided by departments here at West Chester, that gives students a place to communicate and find fellow students taking the same courses as them. The project acts as a chatroom/server to find others in their lane of study, giving them students to study/give or receive help from. The versatility of an online forum gives 24/7 access and availability, and supports students whenever needed.
The social impact on students who normally may struggle to reach out would provide a new form of communication and support, offering help from a distance. From the specific department, like Management, down to subchannels for particular classes like Introduction to Management (MGT 200), students can find specific conversations and support for what they’re learning in real time.
