In the digital project On Broadway, one of the digital tools used was the American Community Survey (ACS), a yearly survey that collects detailed information about U.S. communities, including jobs, education, housing, and veterans. This data helps government officials, planners, and businesses decide where and how to spend funding and resources in the community, in order to ensure for needs in the community such as schools, hospitals, housing, and economic development.
