The main method used was finding and resolving data. It uses many other methods of data collection such as downloading all geo-coded Instagram images publicly shared in larger NYC areas, filtering tweets only to show those inside Broadway, filtering taxi data by using Broadway coordinates, and seeking where “Locals and tourists post messages and media which include their locations on Twitter, Instagram, and other social networks.”
These methods are important because, without them, Broadway’s identity would not be shown in its entirety. I do believe this does reflect the best practices for DHM and the methods used were productive.
