Papers, Please (2013) is a game by Lucas Pope which prompts the player to play the role of an immigration inspector at the border of the fictional country “Arstotzka”.
Papers, Please confronts it’s players with the ethical and moral dilemmas of one’s duty to their government or occupation versus the humanity of themselves and the people around you.

Players are simultaneously challenged by the ever growing list of rules and regulations on passports and documentation while also facing moral and ethical dilemmas that an immigration inspector must face, such as separating a couple because only one of them has the proper documents, or choosing whether or not to deny someone you’ve been told is dangerous by a previous immigrant.
If you’d like to play the game yourself an extensive listing of options where the game is playable is present on the game’s official website found here.
