Evaluation

We have determined that collaboration between Game Studies and Digital Humanities is both effective and profitable for both fields.

Papers, Please is a great example of a game with a message that resonates with Digital Humanities Tools, Goals, and Values, and it is only one of many games of its kind.

Unity is as well known of an engine as it because of how widespread and widely used it is.

Lucas Pope knew he could pursue his goals of sending a message about those systems of government through Papers, Please because games have had goals to send such messages before and games will continue to into the future.

And the collaborative values present within the Games Studies and Games Industry makes collaboration across to the Digital Humanities an easy fit.

Game Studies and Digital Humanities have a bright future of collaboration between their fields, and given what we’ve seen we are almost certain projects where these fields collaborate are already on their way if they do not already exist.
