Cities and Memory uses various forms of technology throughout the project such as Google Maps, Google Forms, Spotify, YouTube, Bandcamp, Instagram, Facebook, X, Bluesky, Discord, Apple Podcasts, and Email.
The specific piece of technology that elevates the project is the use of Google maps. Each individual sound that’s submitted is placed on an interactive google map of the entire globe. Within the map users are able move from county to country, continent to continent by the touch of a finger. The use of this technology truly upgrades the entire project by its ability to connect people to sound.
