Evaluation

Strengths
In terms of strengths this project does a really nice job of the following:
Accessibility/inclusivity
- The project is published on an open source, not just allowing for an open availability and easy access to the materials, but also allowing the project to be easily curated.
Interactive software
- The project being split into paths allows users to choose their own paths based on their own interest, allowing users to interact with whatever they want or find interesting.
The combination and digitlization of sources
- the project includes a multiude of sources rangining from literature all the way to geogrpahic, alowing users to get a wide range of information that falls thematically with the purpose of the project.
limitations
As well as the project does in areas in others it may lack, the bigest being:
Documentation of Methdology
- as well done as the project is, it lacks in the documentation of the process of the project. digital humanties prides itself in being able to reproduce. the project site itself doesnt invite the users in on how the project was fully formed together hece lakcing in that aspect, limiting the scope of the project.

Best Practice Within digital Humanties
The project does find itself under the impression of a couple best practices within the humanites
- the digitlization of the material and combining that technology to share the acadmeic findings in particular to black culture.
- Making the findings readily accesible to all.
- The use of an open source, accesible, publishing site.
- transparency and openess in terms of collaboration.
All in all, the project shares / highlights stories of black artist that are rather underrespresented in the media. that in itself makes this project readily successful.
