The audience of the Third Dimension of Music can be viewed as widely as anyone with an interest in music and how it has evolved into its current state in the world. More narrowly, the project would be most useful to historians and analysts in the music industry, as well as educators of these subjects, such as West Chester University’s Department of Music Theory, History, and Composition. Today’s technology warrants much more advanced solutions for music preservation than are currently in place; they simply have not been applied, and they must before any more history is lost to destruction by nature and time.
