Universal Studios, among others, have arguably been storing their historical media rather than truly preserving it. The ultimate goal of the Third Dimension of Music is to start a revolution of preservation where others will realize the importance and make their own efforts. Naturally there is no possible way to catalog all of the current remaining history of music, but a much better attempt could be made if nationwide, or even international efforts are made towards this interest. Collaboration with other groups or projects could boost results even further. Combined knowledge and use of equipment would optimize the cataloging process and potentially cover multiple locations simultaneously for even greater output. Eventually, with enough contributors, a collective internet archive could be maintained for worldwide viewing and interaction.
