This project came to us naturally due to how we go about our daily lives, we typically don’t think about it but our generation grew up with this newfound social media era. Our project goes further into the depths of what having a social media account means by today’s standards. In today’s world Jobs and schools are looking at applicant’s accounts and collecting data on what’s going on in the world to leverage themselves to find the best person for tat position. Specifically Social Media Stewardship is For many researchers, social media data (both user- and system-generated) is a rich source of behavioral data that can reveal how we communicate and interact with each other online and what that might mean for our society as we continue to speed towards an increasingly computer-mediated future. All that considered aside from data being collected our research touched on how social media affects our mood and our daily life for example before people might have spent a hour a day reading a book/studying and today people go on Facebook or Twitter for a hour of the day keeping up with live events.
