If anyone were to interact with this project, they would see what an extraordinary town West Chester is. West Chester Pennsylvania reflects the small-town charm and cosmopolitan tastes that prompted The Philadelphia Inquirer to call West Chester “. . . one of the world’s most perfect small towns.”
When people do not know anything about the history and agriculture of the Borough, they will more likely look at pictures first to get a better look rather than read about it first. West Chester’s entire downtown district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Enjoy the Greek Revival architecture along High Street that gave West Chester the nickname Athens of Pennsylvania.
Within the Borough limits, there are over 4,200 structures, some dating back to the colonial period.The culture of the town has changed dramatically along with the University, which will be shown through the use of our photos. This project would change the entire community of West Chester because it will be a more unique visual than what people are used to seeing. We strive to show what a change this town has had, but also reflect on how West Chester looked in it’s past time.
