The first goal of our project, Rams Up!Loaded, is to produce an online, virtual exhibit using Omeka about the history of West Chester University between 1970 and 1990. This exhibit will act as a database containing the historical information from the specified time period. Our team will collaborate with the Francis Harvey Green Library to compile relevant materials such as documents and photographs as well as identifying and collecting artifacts for our exhibit. We will use this data to make our virtual exhibit with Omeka, similar to WCU’s 150th Anniversary Virtual Exhibit.
Another goal of our project is to involve and reconnect WCU’s alumni from the 1970s and 1980s with the university. The virtual exhibit will act as a way for alumni to take a nostalgic trip back to when they were attending West Chester University. Part of our previous goal will include accepting real testimonials/stories from the alumni of this generation for display in our finished exhibit.
The last goal for Rams Up!Loaded is to create a website using WordPress to host our digital archive and virtual exhibit. This website will contain relevant information about the exhibit as well as a brief overview of what the exhibit is about.
