Space

Starting in later April 2011, What’s on the Menu? began collecting thousands of menus for the NYPL Digital Gallery. Now, the menus are collected from around the world and range from the 1840s to the present day. This project’s website is digitally hosted by the New York Public Library.

This menu from France is one of many culinary menus sourced from around the world.

..Place

The NYPL Digital Gallery is a virtual database hosted by the New York Public Library. The NYPL is a multi-branched system of libraries that hold locations across the state of New York.

The NYPL resides in multiple physical locations across New York.

Location

This project offers a Geotagger tool that locates and views the menus in its database. This map supports an interactive visual layout of menu locations. The Geotagger tool is currently not available as of this review, making its useable functionality entirely ineffective.
