The Berkeley Revolution is an interesting archive as it showcases multiple projects within it. Each project showcases a different protest that happened in Berkeley during the time period. Some of these projects include visual or audio files relevant to the project. Below the information about the project is the files and information that contributes to the explanation or provides information about the event they talked about.
By studying a single city, it presents unique insights into how these protests or groups began to appear. Berkeley apparently had problems with the younger runaway population, as talked about in the about page, and the project talks about opening the viewer eyes to both viewpoints into this “issue”.
Credibility:
The Berkeley Revolution archive acknowledges multiple sources that were used in order to get the information used on the website. But it doesn’t cite the actual creators until much further down. It was easy to miss the first few times viewing the about page and doesn’t provide much further information other than the person’s name and what articles they wrote.
The Berkeley Revolution archive is new, built in 2018 by the copyright date. Meaning that this was the first iteration of the archive completely put together. There’s no earlier date so there’s no insight as to how the site could change. There is a bit of a problem with accessing the various pages and subpages that involves having to press the button multiple times in order to get it to go to the page. But that may just be a problem with the website being used to access the site.
