West Chester University’s Quad in the early 1900s.

WCU Views will be a website featuring all of the buildings, nature, and sights available to see on campus! We will have a detailed list of everything there is to see on our beautiful campus with a picture and a brief description of that sight. We will discuss the age of the building, the name, what it is currently used for and what it was originally used as. It will also feature buildings that are not around anymore with their significance as well. For example, we will feature a before and after picture and description of the campus Quad. The Quad has overcame many changes throughout the years. The first version of the University’s quad had no where for students to really hang out and relax. The Quad right before the current quad, had a lot of trees where student’s could chill out in hammocks and enjoy themselves. Today’s quad is just a huge open space where student’s can lay out in the sun in the warm weather and play frisbee, soccer, etc. between classes.

West Chester University has buildings that are older than your grandparents. Many of their architectural beauty is eye-candy for all who pass by.This project significance is to portray just how great West Chester University truly is. It has so many buildings of different shapes, sizes, ages, and uses. Our website will give our audience members a chance to learn about the history and significance of our buildings here. If you talk to people who have previously attended West Chester University, they will tell you that almost everything was different when they attended school here. Our goal of this website is to inform our audience members what a building was used for and what it is for now and to entertain those who may be interested in the history of West Chester University.
