Python: Python is a coding language that offers easy use and readability functions making it almost universal for anyone to begin use. Python also offers a comprehensive library data base making it very useful for data analysis, which was much needed for this project.
Jupiter note book: An open source web application that allows you to create and share live code. You can use this for extensive simulations, data collection, and vizualizing the data. This tool was used in the project heavily because of its ability to share coded documents.
GitHub had a primary usage for collecting specific data throughout the whole project’s experiment, such as scripting reprint data, developing a dataset of nineteenth century recipes, or expressing the metadata that’s automatically and manually generated about historical newspapers
Viral texts used Python for a basic easy to read function on detecting viral texts. By using n-grams to separate viral texts from the others, Python assisted. Python is an easy to use program that our project took advantage of to perform proper data analysis.
