Education

In Surrounded By The Spirits, the value of this exhibit is education. This value did not change when moved from an in-person exhibition to a virtual exhibition, because the presence of the information is still on display. It brings the concept of ethnography to an accessible level for all viewers to enjoy and understand.

Openness

DH has a value of openness. Lisa Spiro states “In order to create digital scholarship, researchers typically need access to data, tools, and dissemination platforms.” Openness allows for scholars to create projects with data that correlates.

These two values intersect because in order for education to happen, there needs to be a open platform for all.
