Mapping Police Violence
The Mapping Police Violence project was started in 2014 Samuel Sinyangwe, he recieved signicant backlash for collecting this data because of the uncomfortable topic. Fablina Sharara and Eve E Wool are two signicant contributers who joined the project in 2019. Their objective is to identify and bring attention to untracked police killings.
Law enforcement agencies across the country are failing to provide us with even basic information about the lives they take. So they collect the data themselves.

there were only 10 days in 2024 when police did not kill people, yet this statistic is not tracked.
Black people are 2.8x more likely to be killed by police than white people in the U.S.

The number of killings commited by police continues to increase every year
Police killings are more likely in population dense areas.
