Goals

The project promotes future visions for confronting the climate crisis that understand, and undo, past environmental harms. By compiling these histories in an evolving, internationally traveling exhibit with local events at every stop, this project seeks to affirm frontline communities’ work and inspire others to action for climate and environmental justice.

Compiling History related to preserving, analyzing, and sharing data for the improvement of public information and community education/understanding.

Assessing Documentation

Each story on the website includes text, imagery, video, oral histories, and sometimes interactive maps. all of witch is well-documented and accessible. The site also credits and mentions everyone that they work with, reinforcing shared research. Many local stories provide background on how policies created present-day inequalities. Witch means their display of information is easy enough to make connections. And because the entire archive is digitized, it is much more accessible to the world compared to older forms of documentation.
