How Do Digital Humanities and Sports Analytics Intertwine?
Sports fall under one of the great cultures in our world. Sports is a game that is regulated with rules and officials, with fanbases that teams cheer for, creating a culture surrounding sports. The analysis of these sports is the technological impact of the culture surround a sport. Hence, if a culture is impacted by the technology, we can consider Sports Analytics and Digital Humanities to be largely interacted with.
Sports Analytics and Digital Humanities can work hand in hand together, with Walden’s project and dissertation being a premier example of these two disciplines working perfectly together. What makes these disciplines so connected is their heavy correlation in their goals of using data to connect it directly to human culture, and their value of diversity in each discipline.
