What was Walden’s Main Goal/Argument?
Katherine Walden’s main objective in her Dissertation and Project is to spread awareness and knowledge on the rising globalization in the MLB and MiLB. As time has passed, more foreign-born players have started to move through the MiLB and eventually into the MLB system. Walden displays her main goal through graphs and visuals, like the spatial data analysis.
How the Goal Aligns with DH
Walden’s use of Spatial analysis and visualization of her data collected is to raise the awareness of the diversifying culture in not only the MLB but all major sports. This directly aligns with the main goal of Digital Humanities, the impact of technology on human culture
