Tools used with Triumph of Isabella
About
Within the projected, the University of Maryland students used High-resolution digitalization an immersive projection to reunite and bring to life these 17th century paintings. in doing so the team tool these paintings, originally split, and digitally stitched them together, following they projected them, unified, with sound, narration, staging, and theatrical influence.
this works within theatre, because it takes historical performances and reimages it with accurate historical research. allowing these students to analyze staging, clothing, the order of the procession, and overall, how the spectacle was put together. it takes static artwork and reactivates the m into life, the archive turns into a live experience, no longer just a painting but a stage.
How it works beyond Theatre and in Digital Humanities
Outisde of theatre we see this type of work within Museumes (something closely related within Digital Humanites), in the sense that we are restoring fragmented work, we see this working in education, allowing these immersive experines to be a better learning envioroment. Within digital Humanities itself this work perfectly as mentioned, diital humaniies focuses itself on sharing and preserving cultural data. in this case we are using these digital tools to reinterpret and expand on these panels.
All these tools and methods within theatre studies are endlessly evolving but allows the discipline to foster in collaboration between artistry and technology, artist and technicians.
