This app will help students who are on the meal plan quickly identify which restaurants they can use their card at. Figuring out which restaurants do indeed have this program set up with the school requires you to call ahead.

Local Businesses

Businesses who are a part of the program can benefit from increased sales to those who have the meal plan. Foot-traffic will increase in the store which means revenue will increase. The use of an app will also incentivize other businesses to join the program to keep up in sales. This could lead to more variety of choice for the student and more restaurants that accept the meal plan.

This app will have to be able to store process, and communicate digital information, very quickly for it to work. The programming of mapping technologies along with data structures, algorithms, etc. will be made available by fields in computer science such as graphic or network engineering.

Business Management

A lot of aspects of business management would be applied to this app because it would require many parts of the field for the app to operate. The goal of the business management department would be to use marketing and communication, to reach out to these local businesses.
