Our focus is Art History. Art history is dedicated to the study of visual arts, its creators, and its cultural significance. By relating art to DH, we can explore how digital technologies like digital archives can enhance our understanding of historical art, improve accessibility, and foster new methods of analyzing art across time. This collaboration between art history and DH can revolutionize research and public engagement in this field highlighting the potential of interdisciplinary work.

As a discipline, art history is distinguished from art criticism, which is concerned with establishing a relative artistic value for individual works with respect to others of comparable style or sanctioning an entire style or movement. Art history is diffrent from something like studio art because studio art vosues on the practice and tequnies involved in creating art. Art history on the other hand connects deeper with culture. Allowing it to analyze how visual arts relects and shape the world around us.
