Between the published article and an existing research study, digital humanities&#8217; influence on research is undeniable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through years of research and attempts, they figured out that taking printed newspapers and trying to analyze them with computational methods was unsuccessful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;What we found is that digitized historical sources such as the newspapers in the Chronicling<br>America collection present significant limitations to computationally based research and data<br>mining cannot substitute for close or \u201cmanual\u201d readings of discrete texts.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"212\" height=\"238\" src=\"https:\/\/classprojects.digitalwcu.org\/Rooster\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-10.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-148\" style=\"width:315px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The value of maintaining the newspapers as they are rather than giving leeway with digital analytics is crucial to digital humanities as well.
