RateMyProfessor

This product is extremely similar to my project, as it is the inspiration that helped me come up with this idea. RateMyProfessor provides an honest and transparent look at professors by utilizing student opinion, doing so with a rating and review system similar to the one I plan to use. However, one main difference, of course, is that RateMyProfessor rates/reviews different administration and teachers at various universities, whereas my project, RateMyHousing, does so with the off-campus housing options at West Chester. This is a small, but important difference, and otherwise these services parallel each other.

Google Reviews

Google Reviews is the most popular and used review site/product on the market, one that most active Internet users either know of, or use themselves. RateMyHousing is similar in a sense that it provides reviews and ratings. The main difference between these products is that Google Reviews is extremely broad and covers all topics, such as restaurants, products, stores, and basically everything. RateMyHousing, on the other hand, is focused on one thing, which is West Chester off-campus housing. Google Reviews allows anyone with a Google account to review, whereas RateMyHousing requires a West Chester University email address.
