This helped the authors create a better future plan for the city with information presented to them from the past. Another tool used that was used to collect this data would be Surveys and Questionnaires, this was an effective way to get insider information on what the residents actually want or think will be beneficial for their block.  The use if this data helped the authors create a detailed description of the changes that were made over the years within the SoHo neighborhood.
