The project collected an extensive array of data sourced from social media platforms, public records, and online databases to create a vivid digital portrait of daily life along the iconic street. By compiling millions of data points such as photos, check-ins, and tweets, the project aimed to capture the essence of how people interact with the spaces and landmarks that define Broadway.

The project scope involved collecting and visualizing data from locations along the entire 13 mile stretch of Broadway from the Financial District in Lower Manhattan up to the Bronx. By using public data from platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Foursquare, the team of individuals created a timeline and map that revealed how people live, work, and go about their lives in New York City along Broadway Street. This visualization provided insights into every day moments and events that shape the street and experience.

The project is not only presented digitally online, but is available to interact with in person at an art museum/library located in New York.

The interactive installation On Broadway took place in 2014 over 158 days (six months).
