In this case, those creating this project displayed the data of each specific city across the United States of America. Within each city, there is a portion that showcases the population percentages for each prominent race, the current status of their residency health, from best to hazardous, decided by the HOLC in the 1930s, area descriptions, and finally, the historical context of the city and redlining specific to that area. Of course, the extent to which each city has information is dependent on the amount of data for each city, as some may have historical context and area descriptions, and other might just have the population and residency data. There are two data formats available for download, GeoJSON and GeoPackage. GeoJSON is the simpler of the two, with all the text present in the data, while GeoPackage is more complicated and a much larger file with more components. Project contributors began by researching the cities\/areas, then finding the necessary data about redlining, population, diversity, historical context, etc. of the areas, and finally put all of that data into a serviceable map that is displayed on the project website.
