Fairwork uses a geographic information system which is a computer system for capturing, storing, checking, and displaying data related to regions of the Earth. This project uses GIS to analyze, visualize, and map laboring conditions across the world.
Digital Humanities
Digital Humanities also uses GIS as a method to conduct their research. A digital humanist may use GIS to map artifacts of historical significance, for digital storytelling, and analysis of historical trends.
