The article depicts the life of Richard Pafraet of Deventer and his journey of becoming an important European hub in the paper trade, trading business, and the international book trade. In doing this he was able to collaborate with many other traders from around the world to exchange pieces of literature and information. This is relevant to the project at hand because in many ways they used the same methods these researchers did using Hidden Cities.
