In this project we can mainly view the Digital Humanity values of collaboration, critical response, and accessibility.

Critical/Theorthretical

A key value in history is preserving the past through documents, artifacts, and stories. Historians work to make sure important events and voices aren’t lost over time. Digital Humanities supports this by using technology to digitize and archive materials, making them easier to protect and access for future generations.

Collaborative/Distributive

Historians often work with other experts like archivists, curators, or researchers to build a more complete understanding of the past. In Digital Humanities, collaboration is essential because projects often involve large datasets, technical tools, and multiple areas of expertise. Here we see how collaborative this singular, small, historical artifact was created and evaluated by many in their joint collaboration.

Open/Accessible

History connects making the past understandable and relevant to the present. Specifically, we see how a project made in early technology, about a time long ago brings together multiple aspects of history through digital and physical platforms. Digital Humanities adds to this by making historical materials more accessible through online platforms, visualizations, and interactive tools.

Shared values of History and Digital Humanities Similar to the goals, both disciplines carry overlapping values.
