How Was COINS Created?

According to the University of Potsdam, they took many trips to the physical museum to generate data. They also took data from the online catalogue to be visualized.
Collaging Workshops
collaging workshop with numismatists, those who specialize in coins, were necessary to make sure everything was accurate. They also took ideas from them for the design of the visualizations.
Design Methods
They started with sketches, typical design methods. Then created prototypes using D3 and PixiJS.
Consulting
Had many feedback sessions to gather information on what needed to be done to improve the project.
Open Access
Finally, they released the project to the public. Making the whole project open access, meaning that anyone can use the information provided for anything.
