1 Intro

This project examines the connections between the field of History and Digital Humanities (DH). Digital Humanities combines computational tools with traditional humanities research to create new ways of interpreting data. This project aims to assess the potential for collaboration between History and DH by exploring a relevant digital project and scholarly publication. The primary focus will be on shared tools, goals, and values that facilitate the integration of these two fields.

An image depicting the intersection of History and Digital Humanities, featuring symbols of both fields. On one side, historical tools such as books, scrolls, and an old globe represent traditional research, while on the other side, digital elements like a computer, data visualization graphs, and coding symbols reflect computational tools. In the background, connections between both sides form through a flow of information and abstract networks, symbolizing collaboration and integration. The color scheme is neutral, with soft lighting, creating a balance between old and new technologies.
