Introduction:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 1918 influenza pandemic was one of the most deadly events in human history. The pandemic resulted in an estimated 50-100 million deaths. Professionals believe that birds and other winged animals facilitated the spread of the virus. This allowed the virus to spread swiftly and infect numerous victims. In addition to the speedy spread of the virus, there was little immunization in the time period around 1918, so the human body was not prepared to combat this ferocious virus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
