It is an interdisciplinary field which also encompasses the study of theatrical&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aesthetics\">aesthetics<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Semiotics\">semiotics<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-kubio-color-5-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5\">\n<li>At WCU, the major encompasses across four major concentrations\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>General theatre<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performance <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Musical theatre<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Production and Design<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entering a collaborative world where you learn to be a versatile and skilled artist. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Through production work and studies(in all aspects of theatre and dance), you will foster and enhance your creativity. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>enhancing your problem-solving skills. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fostering interpersonal and self-expression as you become an emerging theatre artist using tools to inspire social change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-kubio-color-5-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6 wp-block-paragraph\">Within Theater Studies we focuses heavily on studing Live theartical performances to understand how one is constructed and produced. theatrical arts is a never ending evolving discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-kubio-color-5-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7 wp-block-paragraph\">Within theatre we also utilize practicums or practical studies, within this this is treated as field work simulations, where production roles are mimicked or taken on by students in order to build their craft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-kubio-color-5-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8\">Digital Humanties<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-kubio-color-5-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9 wp-block-paragraph\">Digital Humanities: &#8221;&nbsp;is an area of scholarly activity at the intersection of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Computing\">computing<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Information_technology\">digital technologies<\/a>&nbsp;and the disciplines of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Humanities\">humanities<\/a>. It includes the systematic use of digital resources in the humanities, as well as the analysis of their application.&nbsp;It brings digital tools and methods to the study of the humanities with the recognition that the printed word is no longer the main medium for knowledge production and distribution.&#8221; (Wikipedia)<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-kubio-color-5-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-10\"> field that exist with the usage of digital tools and computational methods, making it an interdisciplinary, to study human culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-kubio-color-5-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-11 wp-block-paragraph\">In all, Digital Humanities explores human culture, this is anything dealing with humanities (Literature, history, language, etc.). For example, looking to see how treads in literature can change over a span of 200 years or so. This work in conducted using digital tools, these are tools such as data analysis and Data Visualization.
