The Oxford Internet Institute’s Program on Adolescent Well-Being in the Digital Age <\/a>studies how digital technology affect’s young peoples mental health, social development, and general well-being. This study aligns with psychology because it looks at how digital environments affect social, emotional, and cognitive experiences. The research focuses on three key areas to better understand the impact of technology- comprehensive data analysis, meta-scientific research, and leveraging large-scale open data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This study is important for Digital Humanities because it demonstrates how digital spaces affect psychological health and connects technology and human experiences. Incorporating psychology with digital studies gives a better understanding how online platforms influence human behavior, especially in young people navigating a world that is dominated by technology.

The\u00a0“<\/strong>Torn Apart“<\/strong>\u00a0project explores the fragmented narratives of individuals affected by sociopolitical crises, such as forced migration or conflict. It uses\u00a0data visualizations<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0interactive tools<\/strong>\u00a0to display how the personal lives of individuals are affected by historical ruptures, such as wars, migrations, or social displacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This study is highly relevant to Psychology, especially\u00a0trauma psychology\u00a0and\u00a0identity <\/strong>psychology. The project\u2019s focus on how sociopolitical disruptions fragment individual identities aligns with psychological concepts of\u00a0s<\/strong>elf-concept,\u00a0identity <\/strong>formation, and the emotional impact of trauma. In psychological terms, individuals who undergo forced displacement or are caught in sociopolitical crises often experience\u00a0post-traumatic stress\u00a0and\u00a0identity disintegration\u2014both of which are studied in psychology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
